I know the bakery industry has been saturated, so when it comes to design its almost identical. When I did this project I was thinking what can I bring to the table? like how can I make it fun? its a brownies like I get it, but how can I make it different?
When I interviewed the owner, they said their brownies is fun cause it has some depth and layers to it flavours. like its not straight chocolate but the texture also fudgy and not too sweet. their brownies will takes you to a journey of flavour and makes the moment u eat it 'memorable'
Their original colour is navy blue for the main colour & yellow, but I did some twist to it to make yellow as the main colour so it gave more "pop" and look like a gift.
For the social media strategy I wanted to make it as relatable as possible, cause their major consumer is mostly young millennial that in stage of edge of wanted to be marry, have a lot of friends and wanting to build good connection, or have a big family. to set the vibes even more, the copy style is mostly witty and easy.
Singkawang, a city famous for its beauty & diverse lively people!
part of my pride, grow up in a small city but surrounded by so many blessing makes me inspired to take this project as my final task for my design bachelor's degree.
so the whole project start with "how I can represent Singkawang through brand communication?"
the answer is A LOT! the research start from selecting which aspect that needed to be showed for Singkawang. so I found 4 aspect that could represent and attract tourist to visit.
Nature, Food, Culture, Activities.
Then I put into some categories of Lively Thematic Experience which is Lively Nature, Lively Sensation, Lively Culture, and Lively Adventure. each categories will represent and help me guide the visual design that could be fun and attractive.
When this project were made, it was still in heavy pandemic condition so I didn't get a chance to take some picture for Asset (the whole quarantine situation & restriction don't give me a slight chance to travel!) so I got a challenge from my supervisor to make a illustration that could replace those asset. this helps me to reimagined how Singkawang looks like but still not far way off...
To make the experience better, I designed a tourist guide from a booklet, city maps, calendar for major event, and banner that could help tourist to explore Singkawang. Oh! also there's cute souvenir so they could remember the fun memories they've spent in Singkawang.

'Fun, Light, & Cute'
Those are the best keywords to describe Sushu. Sushu is a drink with milk based that has a lot of flavours like plain, strawberry, green tea (my personal favourites 😁), and banana (best seller ✨).
I worked on brand logo, pattern, visual layout on packaging & social media content.
the logo inspired by shape of milk drop with a light blue colour describe how sushu taste, its light, fun, and can fits you in every moment. in the packaging that surrounded by cute illustration pattern that represent the moment you drink Sushu.
'everyone, every moment with Sushu!'
Baso Katapang is small enterprise in Bandung Regency that focused on selling frozen meatball for middle to upper class consumer, with product price range between Rp150.000 - Rp300.000 (9,66 USD - 19,32 USD)
On this project my role is as branding visual strategist, illustrator. I also collaborated with Suri Ayudia as marketing strategist & visual layout, Bachtiar Wardana as content strategist & visual layout.
For a brand that has high price range and premium quality product, it's still need an improvement on visual branding. so it gave more appeal to attract more consumer and refreshment for the brand.
For visual refreshment we went with the visual direction that give that rustic & vintage look. We wanted to captured that 'homey', timeless, and warm as what product promise to gave the best & authentic taste of indonesian meatball that is perfect for every moments.
We see a problem for packaging that it can cost a lot if we customized every flavour varieties, so we separated the packaging and have sticker for the flavour label so it can reduce the cost for producing Baso Katapang packaging.
